I just finished dyno testing your new part # 1054 210cc Eliminator heads on my carbureted 412 cid SBC hill climb engine. The heads were as delivered 'out of the box' from K-Kustom. C.R. was 14:1. Holley 750 cfm 4500 Dominator on a Super Victor manifold. Solid roller ISKY cam, 272/280 degrees @ .050" with .630" lift. At 3000 rpm the engine developed 475 ft-lbs of torque which is enough to accelerate my formula 5000 at 1.3 Gs off the slow hairpins, and by the time 4800 rpm rolled around it was showing 576 ft-lbs which would increase acceleration to 1.6Gs. Average HP between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm was a staggering 504.5. The 412 averaged 630.33 HP from 6,000 rpm on up to 7000, hitting a peak of 653.8 HP @ 6600. I also tested a shorter but higher lift cam where the engine made a ridiculous 522 ft-lbs at 3,000 rpm and touched 600 ft-lbs at 5,000 rpm. Peak HP was 628, also @ 6,600 rpm.

While most would aknowledge AFR's high flow characteristics I was astonished at how efficient the new combustion chambers were. Maximum timing was only 36 degrees and BSFC averaged a scant .355 lbs/Hp-hr between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm. Even the EPA would like this engine. I've never written a testimonial to a manufacturer before, but these cylinder heads sure got my attention -- and that of a few others as well. Even the normally lack-luster workers in the shop who routinely heard racing engines on the dyno came running into the dyno room when they heard this engine's unique scream. Unfortunately the people across town also heard it and complained to the police. I had to wait quite a spell for these cylinder heads but they were worth the wait and are quite a bargain in terms of what they can do. Historic/vintage racing requires a period look thus negating 18 degree or SB-2 type heads. I doubt if any other head could have achieved similar results, no matter its configuration!

I wanted to let you know we ran our first set on one of our 500hp 383 street engines that we have always used the 195 heads on. Tests were run between 2800 rpm to 6700 rpm, showing an average increase of 28 hp and 27 ft lbs of torque. With your old style 195cc we got a 502 hp @ 6100 rpm and 520 ft lbs @ 4600 rpm. The new eliminators ran 538 hp @ 6100 rpm and 540 ft lbs of torque @ 4300 rpm. We did notice a broader range of power and torque with the new heads. Thanks for the great looking and performing product.

First off, I would like to tell you how impressed I am with the quality of cylinder heads that AFR designs. Last year I placed first in the normally aspirated section of the Brothers Performance Dyno Shootout with a combination using your heads. The success of that engine was all in the cylinder heads. I am now running a 342ci with a set of AFR 205cc aluminum cyilnder heads, herbet cam, and 11.3:1 compression ration. I believe this combination to be worth 420 rwhp. I want to stand out and say that AFR made this possible.

I love my AFR 205 small block Ford cylinder heads! You can't find a better head as far as quality, performance and price. The quality of your cnc work is excellent! Compared to your competitor's cylinder head which I'd been running for about 8 years I picked up from 11.20's at 120 to 10.70's at 126mph with my 10.9:1 pump gas 347 small block. I literally took them out of the box, blew them off with compressed air and bolted them on. Thank you for a great product!

When I choose to up the HP on my small tire '67 Camaro street/strip car I selected AFR 305cc cylinder head with CNC chambers. The previous LS-7 454 BBC combination, with mildly ported GM rectangular ports, ran a best of 1.44 60 foot, 10.60 @ 125.59 in 600' Density Altitude. With only 30 passes to date, the 3525 lb 454 based combo has now gone a best of 1.35 60 foot, 9.83 @ 136.01 in 900' Density Altitude, naturally aspirated, footbraked, and on 9" tires. These cylinder heads are responsible for a large part of the ET improvement.

Well here's the story:

60ft  1.36
330   3.98
1/8    6.21
mph   110
1000   8.15
1/4     9.80
mph   135.46

Using a stock block with a cast steel 347 stroker, AFR 185cc cylinder heads, comp cam XE282HR, EFI spyder intake, 36 lb injectors, nos cheater plate 150 shot. This motor has spun over 7000 rpms for 3 years now with no tricks to the bottom end and has survived over 400 runs now with this simple build that anyone can put together. I never believed that I had the potential to go so fast with a relatively small cylinder head and a stock block but the power that these heads produce is second to none. This is not a gutted race car and still weighs 3030 lbs and retains the stock front k member and a arms with 4 cylinder springs. Thanks AFR for making such a well designed product. I can't wait to see what they will do with some boost and a real block.

I just purchased a set of AFR 165cc SBF cylinder heads and I just wanted to let you know that I have never been more impressed with a purchase for my 87 Mustang GT. The quality of the port work, fit and finish was more than superior. I must say at first I was a little leery of the price tag, but the representative from one of your dealers assured me it was worth every penny.

I must say that he was right. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your work. It puts you a notch above your "competitors". Thanks again from a customer for life.

I would like to thank AFR for designing and delivering a spectacular product. I was simply amazed at the out of the box performance of the Mongoose 225cc cylinder head. My 347ci LS6 produced 630 HP @ 6300 RPM with your heads, procharger D1SC (8 PSI), stock LS6 intake manifold and stock throttle body.

With your SBF 185cc cylinder head and 15 lbs of boost, we made 733 HP at 6000 RPM along with 658 ftlb at 5500 RPM. I'm sure that this kind of power could not be obtained with any other "out of the box" aluminum cylinder head. Thank you very much for the great product.

Congratulations, you have the best Big Block Chevy cylinder heads on the market, I've tried them all. I can't find anything wrong with these Big Blocks...and I’m looking hard...its ten times better than your nearest competitor!

The car went from 13.30's in the 1/4 to 11.90s with just your heads (SBC 195 cc aluminum cylinder heads) and the blower...If you want us to prove our claims, we have every run on video (over 100) and all the time slips to prove it.

I picked up almost 2 tenths with your AFR BBC 357 Heads [over the CNC Dart Heads] in the 8th with less gear (430 vs. 410) and the 60 ft. dropped from 1.28-1.22 - all this in a 2600lb car with one stock 4 barrel. You now have a customer for life.

Every aspect of your SBF 165cc cylinder head was perfect! ...This was one of the first heads that needed NO work out of the box. AFR was very friendly and helpful, not only over the phone but on e-mail as well.

We have just finished testing a few SBC cylinder heads on our engine dyno and we had to contact you guys and tell you what a great job you have done...The highest reading recorded with your heads were 738 HP @ 7400 RMP and 632 ft lbs @ 5850 RPM. Your heads made an extra 44hp and 56 ftlb above all others (Top Lines, Iron Eagle 215, Brodix Track 1) with great mid to upper increases. I am needless to say impressed with your cylinder heads.

I am a proud owner and user of your SBF 165cc non-emission heads in my 1965 Ford. I love the 165cc ford heads, and I wish I had a set of aluminum valve covers that let everyone know clearly that I run AFR aluminum cyilnder heads. Thanks for making great products and helping the aftermarket thrive.

AFR aluminum cylinder heads are unbeatable in terms of quality, performance, and most importantly value. I love not having to send the head out to have it ported, and paying porting/shipping costs. The best part is the over 1,000 flywheel horsepower and likewise torque, with a set of Box Stock AFR 205cc SBF. Also, I didn't have to deal with the funky valve train geometry that needs to be corrected like in some of your competitors’ heads. Thank you for providing me with a superior cylinder head that costs less.

My '71 Camaro, Pump Gas 434 Street Car, runs a 9.61 in the 1/4 at 138 MPH. In addition, it carried the front wheels in the air past the 60' and still hit a 1.33. My set of AFR 227 cc race ready heads are a big part of this package and produce incredible performance. Check out the videos and ET slip below.

Thank you for sending me the replacement valve seals for my cylinder heads. It's good to know that there are still companies out there that stand behind their product. Do you have any stickers that I could possibly buy for my car?! Thank you for the excellent product and superior customer service.
